Shocking footage of Will Smith from a 1991 video has reportedly resurfaced that shows the actor mocking a bald man for his hair loss.
Now, Will Smith is being branded as a major hypocrite because he couldn’t handle a joke made about his wife’s shaved head by comedian Chris Rock.
Smith stormed onto the stage during the Oscars’ live broadcast and chose to violently slap Chris Rock while warning him against using his wife’s name again.
But after looking at the blast from the past video, many felt that the actor should be ashamed of himself for behaving in the extreme manner that he did, leaving the world stunned.
“This is so much worse than the G.I. Jane joke that Chris Rock made”- mentioned one person and just like that, many agreed and began sharing the footage.
Within minutes, it has gone viral which shows a young Will Smith slamming bald bassist John Williams for having to wax every single day.
Will Smith’s wife Jada came out in the public with her struggles with alopecia and hence Smith felt offended after seeing Rock make a joke about her bald head during the ceremony.
Rock was seen laughing at her expense while joking about how her look was definitely in line for a role in G.I. Jane.
“Will taking offense at the joke made on his wife resulted in him resorting to physical violence. But when the star makes a similar jibe at his past, we can’t ignore it. It’s hypocrisy at its best”- mentioned users on Twitter.
Others were quick to mock the American actor for his ridiculous behavior, while some joked about how the internet never lies.
