Terrifying reports have confirmed how the young child was attacked while enjoying his vacation in California.
It’s just so tragic and sources have confirmed that he was in Mexico when the shark attacked him, leaving his leg with damaging injuries.
While he did manage to survive the horrifying ordeal, his parents are shedding light on how it was just awful to see him end up in this situation.
Doctors saw him covered in blood and immediately took him to the operating theatre to prevent the huge amount of blood loss from taking place. They stitched up his leg and provided him with blood transfusions and now, he’s being kept under observation.
Authorities claim he is indeed very lucky to survive an attack of this magnitude. They have seen similar incidents like this in the past and they all end up with the victim passing away or losing their legs.
But the family claims they could not be more grateful to have the child still with them and by their side.
Speaking to Denver7 recently, his family says the young boy adores water and had been swimming in the beach waves of a beach located in Cancan. His parents were keeping an eye on him for so long but they trusted his swimming abilities.
But the last thing that they could ever imagine is seeing a massive shark attack their young child. “We were not prepared for this. He was screaming and shouting for help, it was just so terrifying and haunting”- they explained.
It was all thanks to the lifeguard on duty, his mother, and his older brother that he is alive today.
They rushed him to a hospital in Mexico where he is believed to have stayed for four days. Soon afterward, he was airlifted to another children’s hospital and is trying to recover from the terrifying incident.
