Tragic reports are speaking about a four-year-old child who was killed after a gravestone crushed him at a nearby cemetery just outside Burnley, Lancashire.
The terrifying incident took place in Rawtenstall Cemetery in Burnley Road in Haslington at 1 pm on Saturday afternoon, and emergency services were called to the scene.
Despite the best efforts of the cops to try and save the little boy, he passed away tragically, as shared by the recent reports from the Lancashire Telegraph.
Police did confirm that the four-year-old’s death is not being treated as a suspicious one, and information would be passed on to the coroner’s office in due course of time.
Meanwhile, a representative of the police shared how they were called to the cemetery at nearly 1 pm following reports of a gravestone that fell on top of the child.
Tragically, despite their best efforts of the emergency services, he passed away. His family is now grieving the loss of a little child during this very difficult time.
At the moment, his death is not being treated as a suspicious one, and a file would be passed onto the HM Coroner in due course of time, sources have confirmed.
