President Trump was seen getting booed but remained unbowed while gatecrashing the recent Blues’ Club World Cup trophy event.
He arrived with his wife Melania by his side, but it seemed more like an intrusion on the field than anything else as he helped the winners lift up the trophy.
Some called out the president for marking his one-year anniversary since his assassination attempt, while others felt it was just another way to try and steal the limelight from more important things that happened in the country.
Roughly 35 minutes before kickoff, both the President and the First Lady arrived nearby Teterboro Airport on the Presidential Marine One helicopter from his local golf club that is in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Trump’s crowning moment of glory arrived when the final whistle blew and he took center stage as the trophy was awarded to Chelsea.
His arrival also arose at the same time that he had signed an executive order that would see the sport renamed as football, which again had people in disagreement.
