It ends with the judge in terms of the lawsuit that Justin Baldoni had filed against Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
The case was tossed just now by a judge in what many are referring to as the most shocking legal twist.
Judge Lewis Liman granted the motion to dismiss the actor’s January countersuit as well as his $250 million libel lawsuit against the New York Times, as per documents shared by the New York Times.
Liman mentioned that Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios production firm have not alleged that Lively is responsible for any of the statements other than the statements in her complaint, which are privileged.
Lively made headlines when she filed a complaint in which she accused her ‘It Ends With Us’ co-star of harassment in 2024.
The judge shared that Baldoni’s lawsuit made additional statements, accused Baldoni of misconduct, and that the Times made additional statements accusing the Wayfarer of engaging in a smear campaign.
Baldoni’s legal team has until the end of this month to alter the claims for breach of implied covenant and tortious interference with contract.
Reps for Reynolds and Baldoni did not immediately respond to requests for comments by media outlet Page Six.
