US President Donald Trump just posted an image of himself as the Pope, only a week after the funeral of Pope Francis.

The image was published by the Republican leader himself on his Truth Social profile account and was reportedly generated by AI.

The news comes just a week after he was asked who he thinks was the next best candidate to become Pope. And he replied that there was no one better than himself.

Now, this recent image publication has Catholics furious. In the picture, he’s seen wearing a white colored papal hat, called a miter, while he dons a giant crucifix that dangles across his neck.

Trump had joked in the past with reporters about how he would not be against succeeding the later Catholic leader, adding how he would like the sound of him being Pope. ‘That would be my number one choice!’- he laughed.

Even that comment had people talking, and now this has many fuming as they feel religion is a sensitive topic, and joking about it in this way is beyond unacceptable. What do you think?
