Donald Trump has made it very clear to the world that he wants the US to take Greenland.
Now, new talks about a US bill have been proposed that would see Greenland renamed as Red, White, and Blueland after it was introduced to Congress.
This new legislation gives Trump the power to enter into a host of negotiations with countries like Denmark to acquire Greenland and provide the island with a new name.
As per Republican Representative Buddy Carter of Georgia, the bill was introduced to make a big difference that would be in many people’s favor. He felt that it was way too soon to comment on this matter as it needs to pass the House and Senate.
Trump says America requires the island for security purposes. He is also looking for ways to rename it so that it sounds more like home to Americans.
The news comes after he renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America which again took many people by surprise.
Denmark’s prime minister kept on mentioning how Greenland is not for sale but that was not good enough to stop Trump’s fixation on it. Trump wants the island and also boldly declared that its 57,000 citizens wish to live with America, but many on the island were reported as speaking otherwise.
