The controversy surrounding Chris Rock’s slap by Will Smith continues and the latest person to dive down deep into the matter is Bill Maher.
During a recent episode of his famous show on HBO, he spoke on Friday about how Jada Pinkett Smith is lucky that her biggest medical issue was alopecia.
Moreover, he even went as far as mentioning how Jada Pinkett Smith should just suck it up and place a wig upon her head like everyone else that showed up to the Oscars instead of drawing attention.
The Real-Time Host continued to rant about how hair loss was not a huge thing when compared to the types of things that people in this world have to go through.
“It is definitely not life-threatening and is a part of the common things that most men and women her age go through” he continued.
“Aging, for those who may not be aware, is the name given to a condition where the flesh degrades and it certainly happens to us all”- the host continued.
Comedian Chris Rock was left stunned as was the rest of the world when actor Will Smith stormed onto the Oscars stage and slapped him for joking about his wife’s shaved head. In addition to that, the actor threatened the comedian and told him to stop taking his wife’s name.
But later, he was seen apologizing to him and the entire academy. But only yesterday, rumor mills began suggesting how the actor has officially resigned from the Academy relating to this incident.
Other Hollywood celebs were also criticized for giving the actor a standing ovation, just moments later, despite Smith slapping Rock.
CNN’s legal analyst was appalled to see the actor getting the award, claiming he certainly did not deserve it for the way he behaved.
“Part of the reason has to do with the fact that he’s Will Smith and that’s it. Had it been anyone else, they would have been ushered out”- he continued.
