America’s First Lady Jill Biden has reportedly touched down in Ukraine, giving President Zelensky and his wife a major surprise in honor of Mother’s Day.
According to local media reports, Mrs. Biden’s visit was a huge secret, considering the unpredictable tensions in the country. But despite the ongoing conflict, she decided to make her entry with a bang, shocking plenty of people along the way.
During her high-profile visit, the First Lady met with Zelensky’s wife and a number of refugees. She was also seen slamming the brutality of Russia taking place against innocent civilians who did not deserve the horrifying hostility being inflicted on their soil.
Jill Biden and Olena Zelensky exchanged greetings for Mother’s Day as they posed for pictures amid tight security. While the trip remained unannounced, it has now been confirmed that Mrs. Biden is on a four-day visit to Europe.
Mrs. Biden condemned the ongoing war and said she felt it was a part of her duty to show the Ukrainians that America stands by its side during this difficult time. “It is absolutely brutal what the Russians are doing right now. This war must stop”- the First Lady boldly declared.
Both first ladies could be seen paying visits to Ukrainian schools and also taking part in art making with young children.
The news comes as a Ukrainian school was reportedly struck by Russian forces today, causing terror and panic all around.
