‘Game Of Thrones’ And ‘The Last Of Us’ Star Bella Ramsey Reveals She Is Gender-Fluid

Bella Ramsey has spoken out and revealed that she is gender-fluid.

The 19-year-old British actress, who rose to fame after portraying Lyanna Mormont in Game Of Thrones, explained that her gender has always been very fluid and that she finds it exciting if someone refers to her as ‘he’.

“I guess my gender has always been very fluid. Someone would call me she or her and I wouldn’t think about it, but I knew that if someone called me ‘he’ it was a bit exciting,” the young TV star told The New York Times.

Ramsey went on to say that she sees herself as “very much just a person” and that she selects the non-binary option on forms whenever possible.

“Being gendered isn’t something that I particularly like, but in terms of pronouns, I really couldn’t care less,” she added.

Ramsey is currently looking forward to the fast-approaching Critics Choice Awards after being nominated for Best Young Actress/Actor for her role as Lady Catherine in the medieval comedy Catherine Called Birdy.

Ramsey has become one of many entertainment figures to have recently come out as non-binary after struggling with gender identity for years.

Among others who openly spoke out about this matter is 27-year-old English actor Emma Corrin, who played Princess Diana in the Netflix series The Crown, who called for gender-neutral acting categories last November.

“It’s difficult for me at the moment trying to justify in my head being non-binary and being nominated in female categories,” Corrin admitted in an interview with BBC News.

“When it comes to categories, do we need to make it specific as to whether you’re being nominated for a female role or a male role?”

Corrin added: “I hope for a future in which that happens. It’s about everyone being able to feel acknowledged and represented.”
