A family that was all ready to begin holiday festivities is now in a state of mourning.
According to reports from local media outlets, three children were orphaned after their parents were killed in a horror car crash while returning from work.
Reports from local media outlets were quick to identify the victims as John Stanton and Trish O’Brien who died in the tragic car crash.
They have left behind three young kids who were all set to celebrate the holidays with their family members. But little were they aware of what was going to happen to their parents.
An investigation into the incident was recently rolled out by the cops. And that’s where it was mentioned that while returning home from work, the couple’s car slammed right into a giant tree.
This was during the midday hours and the crash reportedly took place in Ladysmith. The couple was declared dead at the site of the crash and it’s just so tragic, another person added how everything arose so quickly.
The three children that they leave behind are now being cared for by their relatives. They are 17, 14, and 9 years old.
Both deceased members of the family were said to be farmers and were known for their volunteering skills too. They used to donate time to doing community service as they always believed in giving back to society.
“We are heartbroken. The kids are numb with grief. They did not imagine how something like this would happen”- another person added.
A GoFundMe fundraiser has been rolled out for the pair’s children. So far, it has managed to raise a total of $26,000 and many hope it will soon increase as time goes on.
But seeing the tragedy unfold right before Christmas is just devastating, to say the least.
