Tragedy has hit an Indian town after a two-month-old baby was reportedly snatched from their residence and ended up drowning.
If that incident was not tragic enough, sources spoke about how more horrifying details took place, including how the incident was done at the hands of a gang of wild monkeys. As per local media reports, the child was sleeping when he was taken by those primates from his bed.
His parents became so worried and distraught when they found out their baby was missing and was nowhere to be found. Soon, they were informed about how the child’s remains were located submerged inside a giant water drum.
The creatures were said to have entered the home in the Indian village of Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh, and it’s believed they kidnapped him from his family while they were busy finishing the daily home chores. In time, the child’s loved ones would notice his sudden disappearance and soon become panicked about where the tot might be.
A major search and rescue operation was conducted across the town to find the child and any traces for the unnamed boy. However, faint screams and cries could soon be heard later coming from the rooftop shortly after this.
Sadly, they located the child and how he’d been dumped inside a giant drum filled with water, with emergency services being called to the scene almost immediately. Police from the local station attended shortly afterwards and carried out an initial investigation before sending the child’s body away for an immediate postmortem exam.
