The battle for Kyiv has ended with Ukraine securing a victory and expelling Russian invaders from the besieged region.

Following Putin’s hasty invasion of Ukraine and ruthless attack on the country’s capital, thousands of soldiers died on the battlefield whereas parts of the nation were turned to dust.

After an intense weeks-long standoff and little to no progress, Russian troops have retreated from the region and headed toward the east.

Confirming Ukraine’s tide-turning victory was Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba who praised his countrymen for stopping the invaders from taking the city and forcing them into a retreat.

“It’s true to say that Ukraine won the battle for Kyiv,” Kuleba said in an interview with NBC.

The minister, however, warned that the battle for Ukraine is far from over as he explained that the battle for Donbas, which lies in the east of the country, will now intensify.

“Now, another battle is coming, the battle for Donbas. And of course, we are preparing to it, working with our partners to get all necessary weapons, and literally basically everything that one needs to win a battle,” he added.

Kuleba’s comments come after experts said Putin likely withdrew troops from Kyiv and the surrounding regions in order to encircle Ukrainian troops fighting in the east and overwhelm the region with sheer force.

Chilling new satellite images confirm these fears, whereas an 8-mile Russian convoy has since been spotted heading toward Donbas.

Confirming Ukraine’s victory and the liberation of Kyiv was also the White House which praised the nation’s bravery while crediting massive aid from the United States for military success.

“They’ve protected their city, and that is because of their bravery, their courage but it is also because of the supplies, the military equipment, everything we’ve expedited — $1.7 billion’s worth, from the United States,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told Fox News.
