Imane Khelif stood on top of the Olympic podium in Paris just last year and was seen celebrating her victory with the Algerian flag being draped across her body.
She was crowned champion of the women’s 63 kg boxing division. But as per the male who runs the International Boxing Association, she should never have been there in the first place.
In a new and exclusive interview that was shared online with Mail Sport, the IBA president mentioned how he had all the behind-the-scenes details that were enough to have her stripped.
This includes conclusive and repeated testing that found she did not meet the eligibility criteria to take part in the female category.
He further went on to mention that it’s the former IOC President Thomas Bach who must be held responsible for the mess that has taken place and this entire controversy.
He even shared how he was a rat for putting politics first on the podium instead of his athletes.
