U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee Bans Transgender Women in Compliance with Trump’s Ban


The US Olympic and Paralympic Committee is altogether banning transgender women from competition by President Trump’s Executive Order 14201.

The committee made this change in a new updated version of the Athlete Safety Policy, as shared on Monday, as per NBC News.

While this 27-page document doesn’t mention the word transgender, it does mention how it’s committed to protecting the opportunities for athletes taking part in the sport.

The USOPC will continue to collaborate with different stakeholders and oversee responsibilities. This will ensure that women will have a fair and safe competition environment consistent with the Executive Order 14201 and the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act, the document shared.
