Wicked actor Jonathan Bailey has been named as the first-ever openly gay People’s Sexiest Man Alive as he succeeds controversial awardee John Krasinski.

The UK-based actor who hails from the UK is currently having the best year of his life as he also recently starred alongside Scarlett Johansson in Jurassic World Rebirth, and later this year, he could be seen in the much anticipated film Wicked: For Good.

The news was shared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night as the two covers of the magazine’s prestigious issue were rolled out.

The star was given the honor to take pride in his handsome looks when he appeared on the Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday night where the cover was shared with the public for the first time. He called the title and praise an honor of a lifetime before revealing how he was still giggling about being the star on the cover.

The actor beat a host of other leading names from the Hollywood industry to get this honor. He also touched upon being the first openly gay individual to be given this grand title and thanked all those who voted for him.
