The Illinois gubernatorial candidate is mourning the deaths of his son, daughter-in-law, and two grandkids who perished in a helicopter crash on October 22 this year in Montana.
As per the campaign’s statement, his son Zachary Bailey, wife Kelsey Bailey, and the pair’s two kids, 12-year-old Vada Rose Bailey and 7-year-old Samuel Bailey, also lost their lives in the tragic incident.
Their 10-year-old son, who was Bailey’s grandson, was luckily saved as he was not on board that flight and therefore survived.
The crash took place near Ekalaka, Montana, and is currently under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board. In another message that was shared by his campaign, Bailey and his wife said they are heartbroken by this unimaginable loss and they are finding comfort in faith, family, and the prayers of so many people who love and care for them. The family has currently requested privacy as they mourn this unbelievably tragic loss.
The story is still a developing one that is currently under investigation to determine what may have caused this crash.
