Hillary Clinton may have been missing in action but she is definitely back with a bang, making her debut on the Met Gala’s Red Carpet after nearly 21 years.
Mrs. Clinton looked drop-dead gorgeous as she was stunned in a stellar red gown that was not only beautiful to look at but very significant in terms of its meaning too.
The gown is said to feature the top 60 names that inspired her the most throughout her life. And in case you’re wondering who made the list, well, it was her own mom, Eleanor Roosevelt, Harriet Tubman, and plenty of other renowned personalities.
The last time Hillary made her appearance at the star-studded event was when she chose to attend as senator of New York and that was way back in the year 2002. And it’s safe to say that she’s is back after quite some time. However, if you think she may have lost her charm and grace over all these years, well, think again.
Hillary appeared stunning and radiant as ever after arriving with her long-time friend Huma Abedin. The gown clearly stole the show, arising in a sexy strapless number, and was a very royal red in color. It was designed by famous designer Joseph Altuzarra.
The gown was said to be a nod to the ongoing exhibition for the Meta Gala and it definitely won points from fashion critics who were all praising the leading lady’s choice.
The designer went as far as mentioning how the gown was definitely a nod to plenty of inspiring females who were now socially interacting with each other, thanks to his fashion quilt design.
Altazurra is known to have dressed some of the leading ladies for the event including the likes of Salma Hayek and Evan Rachel. But the designer continued to mention how he knew that Hillary Clinton would draw attention to his attire and that’s why he put special focus on it.
