But a shocking new survey has spoken about how people are no longer interested in seeing the current reigning Monarch, King Charles III’s face printed across their currency. Instead, they are more than happy to see a more memorable figure of their nation like Steve Irwin on the face of their notes.
The news is definitely controversial and not one that many people saw coming. After all, there needs to be some form of respect reserved for the new King.
But Australians don’t care and they want the world to know that it’s not ok for anyone to just come into the picture out of nowhere.
Many spoke against King Charles and wished that there was an end to the monarchy as a whole. And since that’s not happening anytime soon, they are not interested in seeing another ruling member of the Royal family on their nation’s currency.
Twitter was abuzz with so many comments against the decision of having King Charles’ face printed across currency notes. Some even spoke about how Steve Irwan deserves the country’s highest form of currency.
Another elaborated that it was high time to have the face of the Queen’s replaced with a more inspiring figure that represents the nation. And top choices included the likes of Steve Irwin or Heath Ledger.
Another commented on how there needs to be a petition to better describe the matter because that’s the only way to get a solution to this.
Steve Irwin, also known as the famous crocodile hunter, passed away in September 2006. And that was right after he was struck in the chest by a huge stingray barb.
