A mother has demanded her teenage daughter replace ‘expensive shampoo’ using her birthday funds.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to speak about how the teenage daughter used her mom’s bath products without asking and since they’re from an expensive range, she has to pay for them from her pocket.
The mother tried to defend her actions while ranting about the matter on a popular online forum on Reddit. She claims her daughter should know better than to use things of her parents’ without asking. So to help teach her a lesson, this is what she is now doing.
“It was a long time coming. My shampoos are not only hard to find, but they do also end up costing an arm and a leg. So she now needs to know that this is not okay”- the mother continued.
Sharing her rage on the matter online, the mother feels she’s not going to let this slide by. Her daughter may be 15 in age and without any form of a job but she has to pay her ‘dues’ and in this case, it means saying hello to sacrificing her birthday money.
“I have all of her birthday money. And this is what will make her realize never to touch my bath products again before asking”- the demanding mother revealed.
As you can imagine, the news left netizens divided. A lot of people were horrified that a mother behave like this with her daughter. They called her out for putting materialistic things before her child.
But others did agree that what her daughter did was wrong and if not scolded now, she’d have the habit of doing so more aggressively in the future.
