An armed man who posed as a member of law enforcement was seen being taken away by Secret Service Agents at the Arizona Stadium, where Charlie Kirk’s funeral is scheduled to be held tomorrow.
The man who was allegedly carrying a knife, a gun, and an expired law enforcement credential was detained inside the State Farm Stadium, which is home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals in Glendale, yesterday.
The Washington Post was one of the first to confirm the news, adding how a man told Secret Service Agents he was on the site to provide private security and handed them inactive law enforcement credentials, the official added to the outlet.
The suspect is a former deputy sheriff out of Idaho, another federal source familiar with the incident confirmed to Fox News recently. ‘They are going through his background and trying to figure out what he was up to there,’- the source mentioned.
The male made it inside the stadium before the setup of any secure perimeter, the Secret Service spokesperson added.
The Secret Service is currently in coordination with local law enforcement in Glendale, Arizona, and they are busy investigating that individual who was seen exhibiting very suspicious behavior at the stadium, another official confirmed in a statement today.
