Conjoined twins Carmen and Lupita Andrade are opening up about how they navigate all kinds of boundaries in Carmen’s marriage to her partner, Daniel McCormack.
The pair, who reportedly met on the dating app Hinge in 2020, silently tied the knot in October of 2024 on the Lover’s Leap Bridge in New Milford. Since then, people have had plenty of queries.
Asked how she and Daniel handle matters like intimacy while honoring Lupita’s boundaries, Carmen explained to PEOPLE how it’s by constantly talking.
‘I don’t know how else to put it,’ she added. Ultimately, if her partner is not too comfortable with something, be it hugging or cuddling, the couple shares, then they just respect that and move it. As far as her part is concerned, Lupita mentioned how she’s got headphones, a phone, and a no-care attitude.
Carmen continued by revealing she’s not a very affectionate person that way. ‘I think there is more societal expectation that there needs to be affection the whole time inside a relationship,’ – she mentioned.
‘All we do is joke around a lot of the time’- they shared. And while Carmen does admit that her partner does feel guilty about the time they spend together, they do their level best to strike a balance.
