Donald Trump is preparing for a lavish military display in honor of his 79th birthday.

The American Head of State will be celebrating his birthday on Saturday, June 14, with the US Army. This comprises a military display worth a staggering $48 million.

The massive military spectacle is not being taken positively by many people who feel it’s a waste of taxpayers’ funds, which could certainly be used elsewhere.

The President did confirm that he’s commissioned a day of festivities and an ambitious parade with the stated goal of honoring the Army’s 250th birthday.

The US Army spokesperson, Lt. Col. Ruth Castro, previously told CNBC that this parade, which would conclude with a fireworks display, would feature 6600 soldiers as well as 50 military aircraft and 150 vehicles.

‘It’s going to be an amazing day’ – the US President shared on Tuesday. He added that it’s not only planes but all sorts of things that would be on display. He also shared that this is what America needs: an event to celebrate the nation for a change. If that was not enough, Trump added that anyone who tries to protest this event would not be treated gently by the American government.

‘For those people that wish to protest, they are going to be met with a very big force’- he added. And I have not even heard about a protest, but you know, there is people that hate our nation!’- he concluded.
