President Donald Trump has chosen to break his silence on the devastating collision between the American Airlines jet and an Army helicopter.
The country’s head of state shared more on this front including how it was something that needed to be avoided at all costs and should have been prevented.
Trump was seen arguing on Thursday about how it appears to him that the captain of the helicopter failed to listen to what was being said to him. He was warned but also more should have been done to instruct him to get out of the way to avoid the collision.
Trump similarly slammed the control tower for having all the equipment and technology and yet choosing to respond so late, minutes before the incident arose.
Trump spoke about how the plane was on the perfect path and routine line of approach toward the airport. It did not make sense to him as to why it was heading straight for the jet for an extended period.
He similarly reminded the press that the weather conditions were clear and it was impossible to miss a plane that big that had all of its lights on and properly operating. “It should have gone up or down or turned around!’- he explained.
