Amber Heard was in tears when she shared the moment she fell in love with Johnny Depp during their press tour for The Rum Diary in 2011.
The 36-year-old Hollywood actress told the court that she felt like she was “the best beautiful person in the world” around him, adding that being with Depp felt like “absolute magic.”
“I felt like this man knew me, saw me, in a way no one else had.”
“When I was around Johnny, I felt like the best beautiful person in the world,” Heard said.
“It made me feel seen. It made me feel like a million dollars.”
Depp and Heard were “secretly dating” as it had not yet been made public the actor had already split from Vanessa Paradis, the mother of his two children.
Heard continued: “We were in a bubble of secrecy.”
The actress told jurors the moment she visited Depp in his trailer on the set of The Rum Diary in Puerto Rico with a bottle of wine.
“He playfully pushed me down on this bed, sofa, that was in his trailer, playful, flirtatious and he said, ‘yum’ and he lifted up his eyebrows like that,” she recalled.
The two were both in relationships at that time but the actor continued to send her gifts.
Two years later, the pair reconnected for the press tour and had already both split from their previous partners.
Heard also told how Depp invited her to his room for a meeting with another producer but when she arrived, only the actor was there and they drank wine.
“It felt like there was an electricity in the room,” she expressed.
When she was about to leave, Heard said that he stopped her.
“He grabbed both sides of my face, and he kissed me, and I kissed him back,” she said.
“Then we fell in love.”
Hears said Depp later took her to his private Bahamian Island for a week where he drank “a lot of tea, like a lot of tea.”
She also described their love as “being head over heels,” adding it was so powerful “she couldn’t see.”
