US officials have officially raised the terror threat level in the country, issuing a warning of possible retaliatory attacks by Iran against the country.
The National Terrorism Advisory System warned of a heightened threat environment in the US following Trump’s strikes on Iran.
The alert, first shared by CBS News, mentioned how there is a bigger threat that the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict could motivate violent extremists and hate crime perpetrators seeking to attack targets.
The bulletin further added that there is a low level risk of cyber attacks conducted against the US networks by hackers in Iran.
Trump broke his silence shortly after the attacks took place on Sunday, declaring that the US is doing great after the incident with Iran.
The president shared a post to his account on Truth Social with his first message since he addressed the nation on Saturday night to share the strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites.
Great unity in the Republican Party, perhaps unity like we’ve never seen before, he shared in the post.
Israel was seen thanking and congratulating Trump on a job well done, adding how history was made and America was trying to restore peace in the region.
