Alan Arkin reportedly won an Oscar in the year 2006 for the film Little Miss Sunshine and had recently starred in the movie with Michael Douglas called The Kominsky Method.

The star is also a Tony Award winner who was hailed for his remarkable achievements in the film industry. His sudden death was recently confirmed to People Magazine on behalf of his sons who were recently observed offering a joint statement on the matter. They praised their father and spoke a few heartfelt lines about his achievements too, both as a man and as an artist.

“Our father was a uniquely talented force of nature, both as an artist and a man. He was also a loving father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Similarly, he was really adored and will be deeply missed”- they went on to mention.

His most recent film starring superstar Michael Douglas earned the star the honor of receiving Golden Globe nominations and Screen Actors Guild nominations.

The real shock came when he was awarded for his role in Little Miss Sunshine. Despite his role in the film only spanning a mere 14 minutes, he received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. And that was one role that people couldn’t stop talking about.
