Southwest Airlines has just entered the limelight for some unique reasons that have some netizens questioning the organization.
Traveling for overweight customers has never been easy and the airline says it’s been in the works of trying to come up with something that can make everyone happy.
Therefore, its latest rollout dubbed the customer of size policy is getting plenty of appreciation from the masses while others cannot help but talk about how unfair they find the company’s latest rule.
In this regard, the airline was seen speaking about how overweight passengers can request an extra seat, that’s complimentary. Yes, that means it’s free of cost.
This would force staff members to accommodate them in any way, shape, or form. As you can imagine, this also means kicking others off of the flight, even if they have a ticket.
The uproar and outrage in this regard has plenty of people talking including those who feel it’s time to shun the airline and boycott it for what they feel is unfair to all other flyers.
But not everyone seems to hate it.
That’s especially true for those who are obese and are now raising their voices on popular social media apps.This includes TikTokers who praised the organization for really going the extra mile and trying to accommodate those who may be struggling with maintaining their weight due to some personal health reasons.
The incident began a new debate online where plenty of people had a lot to say on the matter. “If you are fat, you’ve got to deal with so much anxiety as it is. And then the added pressure of flying is another thing on your mind. We couldn’t be more grateful to the organization”- another person mentioned.
Another netizen who supported the call taken by the airline added how it’s not every day that you see companies going the extra mile to facilitate their clients. But in this case, putting obese people at ease is just so thoughtful. What do you think?
