Tragic reports have confirmed the death of Wenne Alton Davis, who was fatally struck by a vehicle in Midtown Manhattan on the night of December 8.
Sources shared how she was crossing the intersection of West 53rd Street and Broadway when a black colored Cadillac slammed into her.
The driver remained at this scene and cooperated with the authorities, but so far, no arrests have been made. Beyond her role in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, she is also said to have worked at the John F. Kennedy International Airport to support herself while acting.
Colleagues, neighbors, and her agent described Davis as a warm, generous, and driven person with a deep love for New York, acting, and her friends and community. The suddenness of her death left many in shock as some recounted a final, poignant conversation just hours before the crash ensued.
Her loss has stirred a huge grief across the world of entertainment, while her roles were often small, but she represented so many working actors whose contributions underpin the richness and realism linked to the world of television and film.
