Actor Robert De Niro is spilling the beans on what it’s like to be a dad again at the age of 80.
The star says that he does not take part in any kind of heavy lifting when it comes to raising his five-month-old daughter Gia Virginia. And that’s because his girlfriend manages to cope just fine.
“She does all of the heavy lifting when it comes down to the baby. And I have no shame in admitting that”- the star explained.
The veteran actor from Goodfellas shares a baby girl who is just 5 months old with his lover Gia Virginia. And while rumors went strong about the duo splitting up, they still are very much together.
The father of seven was questioned about whether or not things get easier, since he’s been a dad for so many years. But he disagreed and added how nothing is easy and each child brings with it plenty of challenges.
“It is what it is and I don’t do any more heavy lifting. But what I do is support my partner but she does end up doing all the work related to the child”- he added.
The star also made it very clear how they have plenty of employees working for them that help in raising the child.
The top movie icon was also questioned about whether or not he enjoys fatherhood and he was sure to mention that of course, he does. He says that he enjoys every single bit of it and how it’s so important to take each step at a time and cherish the memories when they come along the way.
The star admits that there is no shame in claiming the truth. He obviously does not talk to his adult kids in the same manner that he talks to the baby but knowing he has a child of different age groups is just a wonderful feeling for him.
