Being parents to a newborn is not easy and you have to deal with many challenges.
You spend many sleepless nights when you have a baby. It can be exhausting. Sometimes people get a little nap whenever they see the opportunity, even in the middle of a newborn photoshoot at a photography studio.
Newborn photographer, Sarah Jankowski, owns Simply Joyful Moments Photography in Georgia. She was capturing some sweet shots with a baby recently when the little one’s mom and dad just fell asleep.
The delighted photographer captured the moment. The sweet and funny moment shows the newborn curled up contentedly in the foreground while her parents are taking a nap on the couch a few feet away.
Mom and Dad told the photographer that their baby keeps them up a lot and how tired they were. This was their first child, so it was all new to them,’ Sarah told Kidspot.
She told them to relax and just enjoy watching the photoshoot. But, what Sarah saw wasn’t surprised.
‘I keep my studio nice and warm for the babies and there is dim lighting and white noise so it is a very calm and relaxing space,’ she said.
She said it was ‘the sweetest thing’ to see ‘these two exhausted parents, curled up in each other’s arms, completely asleep.’
After her assistant, Amanda Walker noticed a snoozing couple, she took a photo of the moment to show them later.
‘You could tell they needed a nap, so we didn’t wake them,’ she said, adding that the nap was ‘well-deserved.’
They woke up after 45 minutes and were ‘so happy’ they’d had a chance to take some rest.
Sarah is a mother of four. She admitted that this is not new and parents mostly have fallen asleep in her studio.
The photographer later shared the funny snap on Facebook. The picture received a lot of comments from other parents who can relate.
One person writing: ‘This is too awesome! A great photog in action and I’m glad that mom and dad got a nap in. Bless their hearts they probably hadn’t slept that good since before the pregnancy.’
Another person said: ‘This makes my heart smile… being a new Mommy and Daddy is hard exhausting work!’
One fellow mom then wrote: ‘I LOVE this and this amazing family!!! What a blessing! Thank you for capturing this special sleepy moment that speaks to so many of us!’
‘This makes me SO happy!!’ one doula wrote, adding: ‘This birth doula wants to high five you so bad! Not only did they get some awesome photos of their squish, but they also got some much-deserved rest.’
