One can say that only actions matter when it comes to health and healing but most people forget that all action starts from intention. So making the decision to start on the path towards health and healing plays a big component in how far one will go.

After all, if one is determined enough, it plants the seeds of perseverance in one’s mind and you’re more likely to follow through no matter what. Often people seem embarrassed to admit that they’re fat or could do with more control over what they eat and in what amounts.

But if you have a specific goal in mind, then what you look like and your current condition don’t matter as much. That’s why 25-year-old Billy Richard managed to do a remarkable job of losing 42 pounds in only 8 months by running on his treadmill.

It sounds cliche, but it all started as part of his New Year’s Resolution. But instead of making it then just forgetting about it, Billy actually followed through and even decided to document his journey via time-lapse footage in his London home.

The first video entry is on January 1, 2019, and he started out weighing 238 lbs. He can be seen running topless on the treadmill as an electric fan is directed straight at him from the front under what appears to be an outdoor shelter.

In January alone, Billy used the treadmill at least six times and by early February, he is already noticeably slimmer. But he not only lost his fat that time but also his signature beard though he managed to grow it back again by April.

According to Billy, he was already down to 190 lbs by August 1. The end of the video is a side-by-side montage showing Billy’s amazing weight loss results.

Billy added that not only was he slimmer, his health and moods also improved dramatically since he started exercising.

Billy said: “I felt slow and unwell before I lost weight.

“Now I have so much more energy and I am a lot happier.

“I wanted to lose weight to become happier and enjoy my life more.

“I have found it quite hard, I have had a few lapses.

“I eat junk food when I am stressed so this happened a few times but I managed to get back on track.

“Everyone has said I look great now, they have noticed a big loss from my face.”
