When moving or going out of your comfort zone, did you ever get that feeling like you have forgotten something behind? Most pet owners don’t want to leave the house because they start to miss their little companions. However, some people seemed to care less when they left a beautiful four-legged animal, chained up without any food and water.
When the new owners of the house moved in, they discovered that the previous occupants left behind an amazing dog. “I just bought a house and there is a pit bull chained up in the basement,” the new owner told Stray Rescue of St. Louis. “I’m not sure how long it’s been down there.”
Volunteers immediately went to the house to rescue the poor abandoned pooch, and she was so delighted to see them.
“When we opened the door to the basement and shined our flashlight down, we saw a wagging tail,” The group’s communications director, Natalie Thomson, said. “She was nearly choking herself as she was so excited to see us. When we freed her, she couldn’t stop jumping up and down and giving hugs.”
Who could ever leave this beautiful creature all alone, without food, and not able to fight for its life? It was then when they discovered that a squatter had been staying in the property for some time. Aside from the little pooch, he had left behind tons of garbage and other stuff.
They don’t know who the squatter was or why they chose to abandon this precious dog. But what’s clear is that she wouldn’t be able to survive much longer if she wasn’t found, as there was no bowl of food or water for her.
With the sheer joy she showed and enthusiastic personality, this adorable pup earned her the name Jumping Bean. For an animal that had a traumatic experience and abandoned to die, Jumping Bean continues to have a high spirit.
“Her personality is completely adorable” Thomas expressed. “She loves everyone she meets and craves attention. She makes sure she is not ignored! She’s an energetic and very affectionate pup! She is so happy all the time.”
