“Myself & other neighbors I have spoken with feel as though your attention seeking ‘Christmas’ display is just far too much. It’s on the verge of tacky. [We are] all about the Christmas spirit but please tone it down.

Billy was not in a mood to let the neighbors tell him what he should do. He decided to bring more Christmas decorations to the street. He stuck the not to an inflatable elf and spent nearly £300 ($394).

“Christmas is meant to be tacky; it’s meant to be bright and colorful and is for kids to have fun. Writing and posting a note through my door like that is a real Scrooge thing to do, it’s not in the spirit of Christmas at all.”

Billy shared the post on Facebook and one person wrote, “Keep up the good work Billy hope you keep adding to your Xmas joy and spreading happiness and joy to all your neighbors and friends and a Happy Christmas to you and your family.”
