Most kids love to play and hang out with their friends during summer time.

Some kids opt for a summer job doing something like pet sitting, selling lemonades, and mowing neighbors’ lawns.

But one particular boy may have taken it too far when he decided to sell ice-cold beer, and his neighbors were not very happy about it.

Seth Parker wasn’t breaking any laws when he set up a makeshift sign to sell drinks on a street corner. Children usually set up lemonade stands there, especially during summer.

But Seth was not selling lemonade. His sign said: “ICE COLD BEER.”

People in the area were a bit concerned and decided to call cops to report the boy selling beer.

Four cops immediately went to investigate a case of potential child endangerment but when they got to where the boy was they discovered the huge sign that caused a bit of a commotion.

In fact, Seth wasn’t selling cold beer! He was actually selling cold root beer, a non-alcoholic beverage.

If you look closely, he had the word ‘root’ written on the sign! It was in small letters so it wasn’t visible from afar.

In an interview with FOX13 Salt Lake City, Seth said that he wasn’t trying to upset anyone. He simply thought it would be funny once people found the beverage was actually a root beer – and it worked!

Police officers who responded to the scene just laughed and posed for some photos with the witty boy. They shared the pictures on Facebook and their post gained over 9,000 likes and more than 7,500 shares within a few days!

The police chief, a state representative and Brigham’s Mayor were also impressed by the story that they decided to visit the boy’s stand to take photos with him!
