A neighbor contacted police in the US to report a woman screaming ‘help!’ and ‘let me out!’

Home security camera footage shows a man working on a car before New Year’s Eve while screams of ‘let me out!’ and ‘help’ can be heard in the background.

The unnamed man paid no attention to the screaming banshee until four cops arrived and told him that someone had reported hearing a woman screaming from his home.

He immediately understood what had caused the issue and he smirked before telling police that he will ‘bring out the screamer.’

The man then came back from behind the gate with a green parrot. “Rambo, meet the boys in green,” he said and the officers can be seen laughing.

“I was changing the brakes on my wife’s car and had my 40-year-old parrot, Rambo, on his outside perch where he sings and talks,” Rambo’s owner explained.

“Sometime later, four police officers showed up saying a neighbour called because she heard a woman screaming for help. I promptly introduced the officers to Rambo and we all had a good laugh.”

The man also introduced Rambo to their neighbor.

“Afterward, I also introduced Rambo to the neighbour who called in the screaming. She too had a good laugh.”

Even though this man did nothing wrong, he is also at fault for teaching Rambo alarming things like ‘help’ and ‘let me out’ instead of ‘hello.’

“Sometimes Rambo yells ‘help, help, let me out.’ Something I taught him when I was a kid and Rambo lived in a cage,” he said.

Parrot owners, think twice before teaching your birds to scream alarming words like ‘heeelp’ and ‘let me out of here!’
