Naya Rivera’s sister has broken her silence after she moved in with actor Ryan Dorsey.
Nickayla Rivera, a 25-year-old model and social media influencer, says she is not worried about how living with her late sister’s ex-husband looks as they have found comfort in each other since the Glee star’s death.
The late actress tragically drowned after saving the life of their son on Lake Piru in July. According to reports, she lifted Josey onto the boat before she was swept away.
Ryan, 37, and Nickayla have moved into a three-bedroom house where they are caring for 5-year-old Josey.
Nickayla has now broken her silence on social media and said that her nephew is her top priority.
“In the darkest time of my life, the only thing that is important is my friends & family,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Showing up for my nephew even though I can’t show up for myself.”
She continued: “I’m not concerned with the ways things look because no one can see each agonising moment we all endure.
“What matters most I’ve learned is to show compassion, not to judge others, & never take a moment of life for granted. I hope you all can do the same.”
One internet user commented: “That is extremely disrespectful and very unsettling. The ultimate betrayal. Naya must be turning in her grave. Men are simply not to be trusted.”
Another wrote: “It’s inappropriate that your mind goes there to insinuate the worst. When the auntie is just helping out. I think the reason they get any speculation is because they’re two attractive ppl.”
A third added: “Her sister was divorced from her ex and she has passed away through so no fault of Nickayla. That is the reality.
“Therefore if something develops so be it and no honor has been broken.”
