One post read: “Praying they find Naya Rivera. She wrote this 6 days ago’ alongside a poignant post from Naya that read: ‘No matter the year, circumstance or strifes everyday you’re alive is a blessing. Make the most of today and every you are given. Tomorrow is not promised.’”

Naya and her four-year-old son Josey rented a boat on Lake Piru on Wednesday afternoon. Their vehicle was parked nearby and they were alone.

Three hours later, another boater noticed their pontoon boat drifting. They approached the boat and found only the son on board but there was no sign of the Glee star.

The young boy told authorities that he climbed back on the boat but his mother didn’t.

The boy said his mom ‘jumped in the water and didn’t come back up,’ TMZ reported.

According to Ventura County Deputy Sheriff Chris Dryer, Naya has been going to the lake for years and was very familiar with the area.

“I’ve been told Naya Rivera has been coming here for years and she is familiar with the lake. This might be a little sanctuary for her, especially on a Wednesday – no one’s here on a Wednesday so it’s a good day to come. She rented the boat,” Deputy Sheriff Chris Dyer said.

“We’re not presuming her dead and right now it’s still a search and rescue operation, we’re searching not only the water but the shoreline. We hope for the best and prepare for the worst.”
