Tom Cruise has once again managed to take his fans by surprise as he appeared on a Mission Impossible 8 set.
The 59-year-old veteran actor went viral last month after appearing at a National League Division Series game together with his son.
Now, weeks after fans began speculating that the actor has either had fillers or put on some weight, Cruise once again sparked a debate after a “mystery mark” was spotted on his face.
Taking to Duxford Aerodrome in Cambridgeshire to film a Mission Impossible 8 scene in which he is flying a World War II plane, the Hollywood star was seen wearing cargo pants, a padded jacket, and a hat.
Later on, before boarding the plane and showing off his aviation skills in the sky, Cruise traded his outfit for a khaki flight suit.
The outfit, however, was not what eagle-eyed viewers immediately took notice of. After inspecting the actor’s face in his close-up shots, people were quick to point out Cruise’s strange mark that can be seen on the side of his right cheek.
While some fans speculated that the actor might have undergone a facelift, others suggested the mark was probably a result of him wearing a helmet for prolonged periods of time.
Whatever the case, no one can argue that the actor doesn’t appear to be in excellent shape considering he will soon be entering his 60s.
The news of the actor’s mystery mark comes shortly after the 59-year-old shocked his fans with an entirely new look at Game 2 of the National League Division Series.
After his photos went viral, people were quick to speculate that the actor has had fillers. Others, however, ran to his defense and suggested he simply put on some weight.
“At first I felt a little bad that everyone was making fun of Tom Cruise’s face because it honestly looks like some sort of side effect to me,” someone wrote. “But then I remembered he’s spent decades criticizing people for taking meds. Drag that pillow face.”
“Tom Cruise has either gained weight, or he has a face full of fillers. I’m going with the fillers,” another said.
The third argued: “Tom Cruise putting some weight on in his face because he’s prob not filming a movie requiring him to be in not-human shape and getting memed all over for it feels awfully yucky to me.”
