Mum Raises Awareness As Daughter With Peanut Allergy Makes Fatal Dietary Mistake


A mother is raising awareness after her beloved daughter ate a box of cookies, which she thought was safe for people suffering from peanut allergies.

However, when her daughter decided to go to her friend’s for a sleepover, things didn’t quite go as planned. The mother who spent her life trying to protect her child from the worst-case scenario was soon in a dire state after her daughter consumed cookies that she assumed would be safe for her.

The 15-year-old ate a box of Chips Ahoy cookies, not realizing that they may contain peanuts. Assuming that the box appeared just like the one that her parents brought for her, she ate to her heart’s content. And in the end, she woke up at the hospital, after suffering the worst form of anaphylaxis.

Now, the mother wants to share her experience with the world and how cookies may not be the best option for children because until or unless you’re sure they’re safe from allergens, it’s never a good idea to experiment.
