NHS Worker Described The Heartbreaking Moment She Moved 40 Bodies To Fridges Because The Mortuary Is Full Amid Coronavirus Pandemic


An NHS worker, who works at West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth, West London, has shared her horrific experience of moving 40 bodies to fridges in a hospital car park amid coronavirus crisis.

Sally Goodright and five other employees at the hospital moved 40 infectious coronavirus victims’ bodies to fridges in a hospital car park because the mortuary is full.

She was distressed after spotting the names of so many patients that she treated among them.

Ms. Goodright, who works as a podiatry assistant, told in a Facebook post that after delivering urgent care to diabetic patients, she joined five people to move 40 bodies of coronavirus victims.

Two large fridges were placed in the car park to move the bodies into them because the mortuary is full.

She said: “The staff is so overwhelmed with deaths that they can’t cope.”

Ms. Goodright said she was upset after finding the names of the patients who she treated regularly.

She said they ran out of body bags but the dead bodies didn’t stop arriving from the wards.

The heartbroken NHS worker urged people to stay at home and slammed those who are still going out and not taking the deadly virus seriously.

She said on her way home, she saw families in Radnor Gardens setting up badminton nets and others playing football.

She criticized the people as she said: “What part of ‘stay at home – save lives’ do these people not understand? This really isn’t essential exercise. Pop on a Joe Wicks workout and stay indoors.”

Ms. Goodright said she wants to go back to her old life and urged people to stay at home to prevent the virus from spreading.

She concluded: “I miss my patients who don’t need urgent care but have to stay indoors. I miss visiting my housebound patients that need routine care as we’re only delivering urgent care for the foreseeable. Do the right thing!”

Doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff are working round-the-clock during this pandemic and risking their own lives to save others.

All we have to do is stay at home to prevent the spread of the virus.
