This is the moment that a random motorist who was just filming cows grazing on a farm acted to help a distraught mother cow whose calf had somehow gotten stuck on the other side of the fence.
It was a heartwarming moment as the motorist helped push the calf back to the right side of the fence as the mother cow anxiously looked on.

The kind motorist’s name was Dave and he just happened to stop along the road to record the cows grazing near the farm’s pond. He’s an animal lover and amateur videographer so he was excited to film the sight of cows just relaxing on a hot day.
However, Dave soon noticed a female cow named Flo who looked agitated. She was pawing at the ground and as far as Dave knew, this connoted anger. At first, he thought he was too close to the fence and perhaps the cow felt her territorial space was being intruded upon.
So Dave moves further away but noticed that this did not calm Flo down and she was even mooing. That’s when Dave got the notion that something was wrong. She was focusing on an area just outside the electric fence so Dave went over and investigated.
That’s when he saw a calf lying on the grass motionless. That’s when Dave understood that Flo was trying to get his attention because she wanted him to help her. The gate was far away and the farmer was not at home so Dave was Flo’s only chance at help.
Although Dave didn’t know much about cows, he knew that without its mother’s milk and nurturing, the calf would soon become dehydrated under the hot sun. There was also a risk that the calf could wander onto the road and get into an accident.
Using a stick to lift the lower part of the fence, Dave gingerly pushed the calf under the electrified wires. He was also looking at Flo and trying to sense if she was going to rush him because the fence won’t stop the cow if it got aggressive. But Dave need not have worried because Flo seemed to recognize that he was there to help.
Finally, Dave managed to reunite Flo with her newborn calf. The farmer came back home soon after and heard the whole story.
The farmer explained that Flo had not yet calved when he and his wife left for a quick errand. At the time Dave recorded the rescue, Flo must have given birth in the last hour or two.
The farmer and his wife invited Dave over to meet Flo and what’s so heartwarming about it is that both mother and calf seemed to recognize Dave. They sauntered over and seemed to look at him with such gratitude that one can’t help but smile at how sweet these encounters can become.
