Unfortunately, a toddler passed away because of the carelessness of the mother, who was too high even to realize what her two-year-old son, Lokhi Bloom, was doing.
Melissa Adamson, who is 33 years old and a crystal meth addict, didn’t take care of her loaded pink gun, and her two-year-old son put the gun in his mouth, thinking that it was a water pistol and shot himself.
The mother has been jailed for 24 years for negligence that caused the death of her two-year-old boy. Melissa told the cops that she loaded the pistol because she got a threatening call from a drug dealer who warned her for an impromptu visit.
She left the gun in her office after loading it and went to the garage to call her sister. She heard a loud bang from the house, and when she came back inside, she found her son died as he shot himself with the gun.
Several attempts were made to revive and save the toddler, but it all failed, and he was pronounced dead after that. The cops found various things in the house like drug paraphernalia, two toy guns that the boy used to play with, and an axe.
Melissa was charged for child abuse that resulted in the death of the 2-year-old, and she also pleaded guilty for giving marijuana to two children.
It’s really unfortunate how the little boy who had no clue about anything passed away because of his mother’s carelessness. The boy thought of the gun as a toy and started playing with it, little did he know that it might kill him.
