A mother-of-six says she is always mistaken for a 21-year-old as she gained millions of views on TikTok with many of her followers surprised by her youthful appearance.
40-year-old Claire Barratt also revealed she was often mistaken for her son’s girlfriend that she had to share a photo of her ID to prove her age.
Even though she just joined TikTok, she has already gained over 145,000 followers and has had millions of views.
The former PCSO and detention officer is happy to share her videos even without makeup on.
“When I go viral people say I am caked in makeup and I will be,” Claire said. “But in the same breath the video I made two days earlier I will have had no makeup on and will have just gotten out of bed in my dressing gown.
“People say I only look 40 because of the make up but I am comfortable in my own skin. I’m not bothered whether I look 40 or not.”
Claire shares videos that she feels younger than her real age. She recently captioned a clip: “You don’t look old enough to have a 21-year-old son” and it gained over 3,000 comments.
One TikTok user commented: “You literally look 20, spill the secret sis.”
Another wrote: “Honestly you look so young I thought you were my age and I’m 24.”
Speaking about the time she joined TikTok, Claire said: “I was reluctant because my kids were on it. I didn’t have a clue what I was doing.
“Thankfully the kids gave me lessons and I posted a video of me with baby porridge down my top saying I was 40 and didn’t know why I was here, and the reaction was instant.”
She added: “My eldest Tom thinks it is brilliant and he keeps messaging me saying ‘mum ignore the haters, they are just salty’ and he thinks I could have a million followers by the end of the year.
“That is my ultimate goal.”
