A mother has gone viral after crashing her son’s class in order to sit next to her misbehaving boy and discipline him for talking back to the teachers.
While most parents prefer grounding their kids when they misbehave, one mother, Becky Crandley, came up with a creative solution after receiving numerous complaints about her son’s behavior from the school.
According to the mum-of-five, her son was being rude to his teachers and had a bad attitude at the school despite Becky’s best efforts to make a good man out of him.
After the first incident, the mother warned her son that she would visit him in school if he misbehaved again, a threat that he simply laughed at.
Following several other incidents, however, Becky’s promise came true as she crashed her son’s class in order to teach him a lesson.
“It all started last year with his behavior change, it’s part of growing up I think, but it’s his rudeness and disrespect I cannot stand,” Becky said in an interview with KentLive.
“I have had phone call after phone call about his behavior. He’s had an untold amount of detentions and isolations but nothing seemed to bother him.
“I constantly threatened that I’d sit with him in school if needed, and he always laughed it off. Since they’ve been back this year I’ve had several phone calls already.
“So when his math’s teacher emailed last week and said about an incident, I said to her I would join him. He didn’t have a clue, and he was very embarrassed for sure, I was introduced as his mum.”
As the mother who claims to be a “big softy when it comes to kids” added on Facebook, she tries her “hardest to teach them the right way in life” and is willing to go to great lengths to get her point across.
“His mummy bear has had enough for sure, my foot is down and I will not lose,” she wrote. “If only I got a picture of his face when I walked in and sat down next to him, he went so red there’s nothing I can compare it to.”
