In the UK, a mother who endured seven miscarriages in the last two years broke down in tears after her tribute balloons to her lost babies were found.

Kay Green, 24, from Surrey, received a Facebook message from Ricky Harper, 58, saying that the large confetti balloon was found in the middle of a field in Morton, Billericay last month.

“It was just an honor,” Kay told The Sun’s Fabulous. “It was an honor to me, my family, and my baby. It just felt like someone actually cared for us, someone had taken time out of their day to do something so magical for us.”

“It was so heartwarming and it just filled me with every good emotion in the world,” Kay said. “I just felt amazing.”

Meanwhile, Ricky explained how he found the blue and pink confetti-filled balloon with his friend.

The 58-year-old said that they found Kay’s tribute balloon while they were metal detecting in the field.

Ricky said that the “emotional” message brought a tear to his eye.

According to The Sun, Kay’s balloon had an imprinted ‘Baby Green’ on the surface. An ultrasound scan of the baby was also found inside and an attached note from the mother telling the person who finds it to contact her.

“It was very hard, even now thinking about it chokes you up a bit,” Ricky said. “It is bloody heartbreaking. Felt quite choked up, it was very emotional.”

“I just pray for the baby, pray for the family, that gives them some sort of peace, and hopefully, one day, they will get the next baby they need,” Ricky added. “I did not want it to be put in the bin and just forgotten.”

“It’s one of the things I won’t forget,” he said. “It will stay with me.”

Meanwhile, Kay said that she may never have children naturally and might need IVF at the age of 21 after dealing with endometriosis since she was 16 years old.

She said it was a shock for her, that’s why she and her husband Jack decided to try IVF. But when Kay did a pregnancy test before doctors could put her on IBS medication, the young mother surprisingly found out that she was 17 weeks pregnant.

Although Kay said it was a rough pregnancy, the mother welcomed her son in July 2019 claiming that he was a little miracle child.

However, the rough pregnancy made her endometriosis worsen. She was then diagnosed with adenomyosis, a condition that causes tissues lining the uterus to grow into the muscular wall of the uterus, The Sun reported.

Furthermore, Kay received even more devastating news when the doctors told her she might need a hysterectomy within the next year or two because of the extent of her endometriosis condition.

While Kay said that it made her and her husband more determined to try for another baby, the mother admits that she was so scared and that she won’t be able to give Jack what they both wanted.

“It’s like your world just crumbles and you start overanalyzing everything,” Kay explained. “I remember sitting there and crying to my husband, saying to him ‘are you gonna leave me ’cause I can’t give you more children.”

“It is still a conversation I have with him today, I’ve always said to him if you’re not up for this I fully understand,” she added.

Back in November 2019, Kay suffered her first miscarriage when she was five weeks pregnant. Since then, she’s had more heartbreaking miscarriages and revealed that she had high levels of natural killer cells, a thyroid problem, and lupus sticky blood.

“Being told that, it was devastating because, I know I’m not the only woman who does it, but I think when you have a miscarriage you always blame yourself,” Kay said.

“Then hearing from the doctors oh, it’s your body, your body fighting it off,” she added. “That was, to me, like it’s your fault again, so that was heartbreaking.”

“It’s an undeniable feeling of love,” she said. “There are times where I’ve gone to scan and it’s just this little sac that’s empty because it’s not grown yet and you think ‘oh I love it already, and I will sit there and I’ll rub my belly.”

“So that’s why the loss is hard because you’re already connected.”

After six consecutive miscarriages, Kay found out she was once again three weeks pregnant in early 2021. But she suddenly started bleeding at 8 weeks and later lost the baby.

“Some people will say oh they get easier,” Kay said. “They don’t. They never get easier because the losses mount up. You just get more and more upset each time.”

Kay said that the recent loss made her want to do something to remember the baby and so she decided to fly off balloons for tribute.

The balloon had a note on it and Kay released it with family and friends.

“I said [to them] I’m so glad someone with such a caring and loving soul found my balloon for our baby,” she said.
