Anne Georgulas, the mother of 7-year-old James Younger, won her previous court case last year that let him give hormones to her child to block puberty.

However, the decision also meant the child’s father, Jeff Younger, had no right to intervene in James’ medical decisions.

But now, Dallas Judge Mary Brown ruled that both mother and father should have joint conservatorship over their son. This would mean all decisions would have to be decided by both parents.

Georgulas’s attorney then vowed to challenge Judge Brown’s ruling, which would see Younger and Georgulas making joint medical decisions regarding James. They will also have to agree on psychiatric and dental care, and also on haircuts.

The parents will also go to counseling together.

This decision comes after a jury ruled last year in favor of giving sole managing guardianship of the child and sibling to Georgulas.

The mother, who is also a pediatrician, argued that their child is a transgender that’s why she wanted to help her child change to a girl.

Her ex-husband doesn’t believe that James wants to be a girl and was only experiencing gender confusion. He also accused his ex-wife of forcing their child to socially transition into a girl by making him wear female clothing.

Facebook page ‘Save James’ shared photos of the child wearing a button down shirt, slacks and tennis shoes.

“Going to school. This is what it looks like when JAMES gets to choose! *Affirm this! * Also, a photo taken yesterday, just before church. James and Jude proud to be men! Save James, save thousands of children!” the caption read.

But Georgulas claimed that three mental health professionals had diagnosed their child with gender dysphoria. Therapists also recommended they start using the name Luna.

Younger, who filed his request to get sole custody of the children to prevent the transitioning, initially lost in court. But the latest ruling now allows him to have a say when it comes to their children’s medical decisions.
