A mother has gone viral after tracking down strangers who helped save her baby’s life over a decade after an accident nearly cost the newborn his life.

One person and one hug at a time, Kellie Haddock from Florida patiently tracked down everyone who helped save the life of her then-14-week-old son, Eli, when the two got caught up in a terrible car accident back in 2004.

While Kellie’s husband died on the spot, Eli was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. There, the staff of Orlando’s Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children worked restlessly to save the life of baby Eli.

Over a decade later, the loving mother decided to reach out to everyone involved in her son’s rescue and thank them for their selfless acts in person.

Partnering with Strongfilms video production company, the woman embarked on the mission to locate everyone from the helicopter team to the hospital staff that was involved in the incident.

“All of the ‘thank yous’ we did were arranged as a surprise,” Kellie explained on her website.

“Someone coordinated a meeting with each medical professional and as they waited, surprise — I walked up. Usually, the doctor would be looking past me, still waiting for the person they thought they were meeting.

“It was a privilege for me to start the conversation and see them begin soaking it in, surprised by the unexpected gratitude.”

Needless to say, the reunions weren’t short of tears.

“I’ve never been thanked. This is really special. This is really nice,” one medical professional who participated in saving Eli’s life admitted.

As for the goal of her mission, Kellie explained she wants people to be grateful and say ‘thank you’ to those who leave a positive impact on their lives.

“There is so much wrong in the world and it’s so easy to point out what people are doing wrong. We rarely take the time to notice when people are doing things right,” the mother expressed online.

“I want to be a person that points out when someone does something right. How much better would the world be if we all spent more time focusing on what’s right instead of what’s wrong?”
