Mother Shares Heartbreaking Photos Of Her Young Son Battling Leukemia And Reveals That He Has Now Fully Recovered


A mother stole the hearts of internet users as she shared heartbreaking photos of her young son enduring chemotherapy during his battle with leukemia.

6-year-old Beckett from Texas was just two years old when he got diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Following the 2018 diagnosis, the young boy began grueling chemotherapy to get rid of cancer and get a second chance at life.

In September 2019, Beckett’s mother, Kaitlin Burge, shared heartbreaking photos of her young son fighting through his condition and vomiting in response to exhausting treatment.

In one touching photo, the young boy is seen leaning over a toilet and vomiting while being comforted by his now-7-year-old sister Aubrey.

As Kaitlin has now revealed, Beckett has since fully recovered and has been given an all-clear by his hospital. He was also able to return to school and has regained his strength.

The mother also proudly shared a video in which the young boy is seen ringing a bell in his hospital to mark the end of chemotherapy and the beginning of a new chapter.

Following the ordeal, Burge has revealed that the bond her children have forged is “incredible” and couldn’t be replaced by anyone including her.

“Aubrey had such a huge impact on helping him get through this. They developed a bond that only siblings have that I couldn’t even replace,” the mom expressed.

“When he was going through chemo she was more of a motherly figure, but Aubrey’s starting to notice that now he’s off it, he’s wanting to be a bit more independent.

“She’s struggling with that as he’s now found his inner voice and any time she tries to help him he says ‘I can do it by myself.’”

While the boy is still suffering from certain side effects of his treatment, Kaitlin admitted he is now doing much better both physically and mentally speaking, whereas he can now finally focus and dedicate more of his time to education, playtime, and bonding with other children.
