When one grieving mother visited her son’s grave on Mother’s Day, however, she was outraged to find a Jehovah’s witnesses flyer on top of it.

According to the mother’s other son, he and her were visiting his brother’s grave for the first time on Mother’s Day after the 20-year-old committed suicide.

As if the visit wasn’t hard enough on its own, the two were shocked when they saw a Jehovah’s witnesses flyer on top of the gravesite.

The pamphlet, which had been distributed to nearby graves as well, read: “Can the dead really live again? Would you say… Yes? No? Maybe?”

Following the incident, the mother’s son took the matter to Reddit where he wrote:

“For what it’s worth I came back this morning and removed all the remaining flyers… unfortunately there’s no contact number. Only a website.

“Council have said they will do a ‘walk through’ to make sure that there are no more of these things lying around.

“I let Jehovah’s Witness head office know about the situation, and I was advised that contact would be made with the local congregation. No apology was made, but they did acknowledge it was inappropriate.”

Soon enough, the young man’s post went viral and people slammed the “fanatics” responsible for pushing their beliefs onto others in such an “insensitive way.”

“How upsetting for both you and your Mum. Good on you for chasing it up though and for removing the remaining flyers. It would be good if you are able to get some action on this,” someone wrote.

“That’s so bulls*it. It’s annoying enough having them show up at your door, but this… this is a new low. I’m seriously disgusted by this. It’s not how ‘Christians’ act,” another one added.

After a while, other Jehovah’s Witnesses saw the post and commented as well. They apologized for the pamphlets and expressed that such acts don’t represent who they really are.
